HS2 – UX/UI

High Speed 2

A new employee intranet portal, an app to manage company events and the creation of the National College of High Speed Rail UI website.

Working on the IT department on the System Development team I got involved on some challenging projects for desktop and mobile. I challenged the team on key aspects of project delivery and ongoing project maintenance.

HS2 had a signifcant growth and so did the number of company employees. The company's intranet needed a complete re-design to accommodate the latest changes in new needs requested by its users.

A series of surveys were conducted with key stakeholders and requirements were gathered.

A border survey were rolled out the entire company and every collaborator had the chance to participate and highlight their needs.

After mapping out the whole intranet I created multiple low fidelity wireframes and tested them out with stakeholders and users of all departments. Several Design iterations were presented until the final Design was achieved.

The search feature and results page were highly requested to be improved since the search feature is heavily used as employees were always sharing and downloading files.

HS2 often organised company events and a needed to better assess the results of such events and understand the real value of them.

I worked as a product designer on ideation and conceptual exploration, user experience and user interface Design, testing and delivery.

The app focused on a mobile first approach since the most frequency users would be using tablets.
